When I think of summer, I think of flip flops, popsicles, sunshine, and the kind of joy kids feel before worries, expectations, and deadlines show up. I wanted to try to capture that feeling on canvas.

“Wonder” is the result.

I loved every minute of painting this one, and I imagine it living in a home where it brings a smile every single time someone walks by.

I hope I captured the joy.
