Every year I forget how quickly peonies come and go.

One minute they’re tight, secretive buds, and the next, they’re unapologetically full.

Showing off just a few days before slipping away again.

This was the last bouquet from my peony patch. I could feel the clock on them, so I tried to catch that beauty before it disappeared.
